Black Gospel Archive Symposium: We've Come This Far by Faith

Over the past decade, the importance of Black Gospel music was highlighted during the annual Pruit Memorial Symposium. As that event shifts its focus to new topics for the years ahead, the Baylor Libraries are honored to announce the creation of the inaugural Black Gospel Archive Symposium. The 2025 symposium features the Diversity of Black Worship Symposium and Concert: We’ve Come This Far By Faith featuring Rev. Dr. Dwight Andrews from Emory University. This symposium is sponsored by the Baylor Libraries Black Gospel Archive, George W. Truett Theological Seminary, Baylor School of Music, and Lev H. Prichard III Endowed Chair.
