Baylor Libraries Author Series featuring "God in the Whirlwind"

The Dean of Libraries welcomes Baylor alumnus and author Tyler B. Davis for a conversation with Dr. Stephen Sloan, Professor of History and Director of the Institute for Oral History, about the recently released Baylor Press publication, "God of the Whirlwind: Horror, Memory, and Story in Black Waco." This conversation will explore the stories of members of the Black Waco community included in the book around the 1953 tornado and other events. Come to the Mayborn Museum Theatre or join via Zoom Webinar on Monday, March 31, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. to participate in this conversation. A reception and book signing will follow. Baylor Press will sell copies of the book for signing.
