Phi Alpha Theta Pulls Out All the Stops For Veterans One Stop
In Fall 2022, the Tau Beta Chapter of Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society once again partnered with a charitable organization in its annual book sale. The officers of Phi Alpha Theta decided to donate the proceeds of the sale to Veterans One Stop, a facility that offers comprehensive aid to veterans and their families. Phi Alpha Theta held its book sale on November 11, 2022, in the foyer of the Tidwell Bible Building. All books were generously donated by current and retired faculty members from around the university.
The event was a tremendous success with a plethora of students and faculty visiting the tables of books over the course of the day. Individuals were encouraged to donate what they could in exchange for books. All in all, many wonderful conversations were held, and lots of readers went home with full backpacks. By the end of the day, Phi Alpha Theta had raised $1,067.34 for Veterans One Stop.
It is truly a blessing and an honor to have had the chance to partner with such a wonderful organization, and the officers of Phi Alpha Theta hope to do so again in the future. The student members of Phi Alpha Theta and their faculty advisor, Dr. Daniel Watkins, would like to thank everyone who made this event a success!
