Fall 2024
  • New Member Applications for PAT Fall 2024 are due October 4, 2024. See here for a membership application - you can turn it and a copy of your transcripts in to the History Main Office (Tidwell 104) or email them to Dr. Jug.
  • Fall Induction: November 7th, 5:30 - 6:30 pm in Tidwell 102
  • Book Sale: November 15th, 10:00 am - 3:00 pm outside Tidwell Bible Building
Spring 2024

  • National and regional conference meeting information is listed at www.phialphatheta.org. Phi Alpha Theta also encourages student members to apply for one of the many society scholarships!

  • (Fall 2022) Graduate School Panel: PAT offered the chance to learn about choosing graduate programs, the application process, and life as a graduate student.

  • (Fall 2021) Waco History Walk with Dr. Sloan! PAT joined Dr. Sloan for a walk around Waco and to learn about its history. They met at the mural at Eastside (400 E. Bridge St.) and any student interested in Waco's history was welcome, not just history majors!
  • (Spring 2021) Women's History Month Book-A-Day reading recommendations! Phi Alpha Theta organized book recommendations from history students and faculty - check out the History Department's social media: Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook!
  • (Spring 2021) History Dept. Picnic at Cameron Park
  • (Fall 2020) Virtual Grad School Panel and Q&A with Dr. Watkins, Dr. Stubenrauch, and Dr. deGraffenried on Thursday, Sept. 24, from 4-5pm. 
  • (Spring 2020) History Dept. Picnic at Cameron Park (canceled due to Covid).
  • (Spring 2020) Volunteering/Attending the Boston Massacre Trials reenactment on March 5, 2020, at 3:00pm in Bennett Auditorium.
  • (Spring 2020) Volunteering with the Heart of Texas History Fair on Feb. 14.
  • (Spring 2020) Spring Book Sale from 9am-4pm on Feb. 12 & 13 (Tidwell Lobby).
  • (Jan. 2020) Phi Alpha Theta National Convention in San Antonio. 
  • (Fall 2019) Thinking About Grad School? Panel & Pizza, Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at 4:00 in Tidwell 209.
