Fall 2023 Department Welcomes Five New Faculty Members
Baylor University's Department of History is excited to announce the addition of five new faculty members to its esteemed team. These accomplished scholars bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the department, further enhancing its commitment to excellence in historical research and education.

The expertise of our new faculty spans historical eras and geographic regions, enriching the department's curriculum. This year, for example, they will teach courses on Modern Africa (Amoh), the Chicano Movement (Hinojosa), History of Ukraine (Jug), Totalitarianism Regimes in Europe (Kirillova), and History of Global Epidemics (Oropeza). Each has an active research agenda that informs their teaching and student mentoring.
