Scaffolding the Language of Power

Dr. Kathryn Strom is Professor of Educational Leadership at California State University East Bay, Director of the Center for Research in Equity and Complexity in Education (CRECE), and Honorary Associate Professor of Pedagogy, Curriculum, and Assessment at University College London. Her research engages a range of critical and complex theories to create affirmative, relational academic counter-practices for preparing and supporting justice-oriented teachers, educational leaders, and scholars. She is author of the book series Scaffolding the Language of Power in Academia (Myers Press) and is PI of the NSF-funded research project “Teaching for the Anthropocene.”
