Biography

I grew up in Washington State and South Carolina before attending Clemson University, where I fell in love with the study of history. I’m happiest exploring new places and ideas. I have a deep appreciation for film, and I’m always up for discovering local history, visiting galleries, and talking with friends.

Research Interests

Broadly, I am interested in Southern intellectual and transatlantic history, especially how political thought, literature, and religion moved between Britain/Europe and the American South from the early republic through Reconstruction.
